Outplacement

Outplacement is a nice term for a difficult act. Outplacement means the company you work in (or the company you run) is fighting for survival, or has lost that fight. It means people who have been dedicated to the company find that they haven’t left the company, it has left them. It is often nobody’s fault; a change in consumer behaviour, an increase in labour cost or a new technology can squeeze an otherwise successful company.

The fact that it is nobody’s fault makes it no less painful for the people who work in and run the company.

When it happens, in good companies, the objectives of the staff and management align into one goal; make the process as pain-free as possible and make sure the people who worked in the company are helped to guarantee their futures.

That’s where we come in.

Our consultants work with management to plan the breaking of the bad news. They plan to make sure that no-one hears it first from the grape-vine. They plan to make sure no-one is left with lingering questions. They plan to make sure everyone knows they have been communicated with respectfully and with concern.

Our Public Relations Clinic backs this up by ensuring that your local community, customers, suppliers, local politicians and media are all communicated with clearly and effectively.

And then we do the most important part. Our careers clinic provides training and support to the staff; we advise them on their career options, edit their CV’s and prepare them for interviews. With our recruitment partners, we then get those CV’s to the employers best suited to each person and we work to get the person the job.

As far as we know, we’re the only company that provides outplacement consultancy around internal communications, external communications, career development and job interview preparation. But we can’t guarantee we’re the only one.

We can guarantee that we’re the best.
