Course Overview

The Communications Clinic’s presentation skills group course is based on learning-by-doing.

Every person on the course presents, has their pitch recorded, has it assessed and then implements changes based on feedback received.

Participants leave the session with a clear idea of where they need to further improve, and an action plan of how to do it.

We’ll devise a programme that works for you, your business, your budget and your objectives.

We’ll show you how to assess your audience, how to structure your sales pitch, how to deliver it with confidence and sincerity and how to deal with aggressive, probing and intensive questioning.

We can help from the very start of the process - from the initial research and client conversations, the identification of potential customers and their individual needs right through to the actual pitch on the day.

You’ll come to the initial session with two things ready. One, a clear idea of what you want to achieve through working with us. And two, a pitch or sales offering ready to deliver.

We’ll start by establishing the core learning objectives for your training.

Then we’ll look at the content and delivery of your sales pitch and give you honest and applicable feedback.

We take your sales teams through practical and experiential training that covers:

  • How to tap into the customer’s specific and unique needs

  • How to manage difficult and probing questions

  • How to maximise their chances of success.

This training will provide participants with practical, applicable tools that they can start to put into practice straight away.

Our training results in behavioural change - not just attitudinal change - and is experiential and participatory. Participants put forward their sales pitch and have it carefully assessed and honestly reviewed with solid feedback identifying where they might need to improve.

Have a structured, informed approach to analysing your clients’ needs and keeping those needs at the core of all your pitch preparation

Know the best structure for your pitch, including how to start with impact and end with action

Can you run this training remotely?

Our training can be delivered in person or online – whichever suits you best.

We suggest that if most of your selling and pitching is done in person then you are better to train in this manner too to best replicate your working environment.

Equally if you sell mainly online then that’s the way to go.
