Location: Office based with some flexibility 

Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

At The Communications Clinic we are looking for a creative and driven Account Executive to join our growing PR team. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your career, develop your craft, and work on meaningful campaigns for well-known brands, institutions, and organisations.

About the Role

As an Account Executive, you’ll support client teams in delivering campaigns, writing professional-quality content, pitching stories to the media, and representing the company at events and with clients. You’ll be involved in planning and execution across multiple projects — with strong mentoring, clear progression paths, and the opportunity to build the skills needed for a long and successful career in communications. You will work closely and provide support to the account Managers and Directors of this high performing team. 

Key Responsibilities

Client Support & Delivery

  • Support Account Managers and Directors on client campaigns and media activity

  • Take detailed briefs and deliver high-quality work

  • Assist with planning, scheduling and event coordination

  • Bring new ideas and enthusiasm to client activity

  • Contribute across teams and learn from colleagues

Content Creation

  • Write press releases, opinion pieces, speeches, and features to a professional editorial standard

  • Support the production of video, podcast, and visual content

  • Script and research digital and audio formats with creativity and accuracy

  • Build strong relationships with suppliers and partners

Media Relations

  • Develop and maintain relationships with media contacts

  • Understand the evolving media landscape across print, digital, and broadcast

  • Pitch content effectively to journalists and editors

  • Stay up to date with trends and audience needs

Company Representation

  • Attend events, conferences, and client meetings as needed

  • Represent the company professionally, with courtesy, curiosity, and confidence

  • Live the company’s values and uphold its standards in every interaction

Performance & Progress

  • Work toward agreed goals in delivery, financial contribution, and reporting

  • Maintain a high standard of accuracy, speed, and attention to detail

  • Take ownership of your learning and development
